Nik Pollinger, managing director

Nik founded the company in 2005 after working at a large communications agency in London.

Convinced that a deeper understanding of human behaviour would lead to better communications, but also greater effectiveness in product / service design, he subsequently completed postgraduate studies in digital anthropology at UCL.

He has been invited to speak about his work by organisations such as the Oxford Internet Institute, ESOMAR and Technology for Marketing & Advertising.

Nik has also written on a wide range of topics for mainstream media outlets such as the BBC and The Daily Telegraph and he has been quoted on the topics of PR and technology in publications such as Time, The Sunday Times and The Daily Telegraph. His first degree was in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.

Account teams and research associates

Wide's communications account teams consist of all-rounders as capable of devising a creative strategy as executing it proficiently. This entails an in-depth knowledge of clients' subject areas and an ability to express ideas clearly in written, verbal and visual formats.

Wide's research associates provide essential input into our communications work but also help steer the design of clients' new products and services. They have social and behavioural scientific backgrounds, with considerable experience of the type of immersive research that can answer why people do what they do.
